Executive Director, Institute of Carbon Neutrality and Circular Economy (ICNCE)

Jiang Nanqing, executive director, Institute of Carbon Neutrality and Circular Economy (ICNCE).
She got her PhD in Ecology from Beijing Normal University. She did her professional research in the Netherlands, Japan, Israel and Kenya as Postdoc and research scientist for 8 years. She has the expertise in environment and sustainable development. After she came back to China, she joined INBAR as senior programme officer 2007-2008, and worked at UNEP China Office from 2008-2018 as senior officer.
She served as the Secretary General of China Plastic Reuse and Recycling Association from 2018-2019, and was the consultant of plastic projects of World Bank, ADB, EU, WWF, UNICEF-UNDP, UN Global Compact. From 2020, she worked in the area of circular economy and carbon reduction including plastic recycling,and in 2022 She setup the Committee of Green Circular Economy of All-China Environment Federation (CGCI-ACEF) and served as the Secretary General, and took the lead of standards on plastic recycling and carbon reduction accounting.
From 2023, sh started her own start-up Qinghe New Carbon Environment Technology Co. Ltd. on circularity and traceability, and setup the Institute of Circular Economy and Carbon Neutrality collaborated with international, national and private partners.
She is the board member of P&G Sustainable Development Advisory Board, Alibaba Carbon Neutral Expert Committee, Beike Charity Foundation, Meituan Green Mountain Plan Advisory Committee, and China UN Association, Carbon Sequestration Committee advisor of Yunnan Puer City. She is the visiting professor of Huadong Normal University, Hubei University, Carbon Neutral Research Institute of Sichuan Tourism College on plastics, green design and carbon accounting.
She dedicates in ESG coupled with circular economy and carbon reduction from consumption side. She is the column author of news media Economic Observer, and TV commentator as KOL.

毕业于北京师范大学. 曾留学荷兰、日本、以色列从事博士后研究工作。环境和可持续发展专家。
2007年任职国际竹藤组织高级项目官员。2008-2018年在联合国环境署驻华代表处。
2018-2019年，她担任中国合成树脂协会塑料循环再生专委会秘书长，并作为世界银行，亚洲开发银行，欧盟，WWF，联合国儿基会-联合国开发计划署，联合国全球契约等塑料项目顾问专家。2019年至今从事循环经济和碳减排工作包括塑料再生。2020年她创建中华环保联合会绿色循环普惠专委会并担任秘书长。
2023年她创立青合新碳(北京）环境科技有限公司和青合循环经济与碳中和研究院。
她现担任宝洁全球和中国可持续发展委员会委员，阿里巴巴集团碳中和专家委员会委员，贝壳公益基金会理事，美团青山计划顾问委员会委员。CGF全球消费品论坛中国顾问，四川旅游学院碳中和研究院研究员，普洱市政府碳汇专班顾问，中国联合国协会会员。

她专注于企业ESG与消费端循环经济和碳减排挂钩的工作。开展循环数字化平台工作，制定系列碳普惠行为碳减排标准，带动公众减排。

她是经济观察专栏作者，推动塑料污染、循环再生和碳普惠等多个政策意见领袖。

Robert Xiao

Beijing Director, Economist Intelligence Corporate Network

Robert Xiao is the Director of the Economist Intelligence Corporate Network (EICN) in Beijing. He is responsible for engaging in high-level dialogues with business and political leaders, providing insights on global macroeconomic trends and policy directions for Fortune 500 decision-makers to support their macro layout and business development in domestic and international markets.

Prior to joining EICN, Mr Xiao held positions as a lecturer, senior lecturer, PhD supervisor, and Deputy Director of the Impact Finance Hub at Monash University and Deakin Business School in Australia. His research mainly focused on the fields of corporate social responsibility, corporate governance, and economic and financial policy analysis related to the Chinese and US markets. He has authored multiple publications in Financial Times Top 50 Journals and been awarded major research grants jointly by the Academy of Social Sciences in Australia and Chinese Academy of Social Science.

An educator at heart, Mr Xiao has always maintained a passion for tertiary teaching. He has more than a decade of experience teaching business courses, including Master of Business Administration (MBA), Master of Finance, and Bachelor of Commerce programmes at leading universities.

Mr Xiao obtained his Ph.D. in Finance from Monash University and graduated with honours (B.Com. Hons) from Monash Business School in 2008 as the highest-achieving student in his cohort. He has won multiple awards from Australian universities, including the Australian Postgraduate Awards granted by the Australian Federal Government.
